In the clearing

"what! why? your still mad at me aren't you? if you don't want it then lets share it" I suggested hoping that you would exept.

I sat down. Then I stood up and turned to him. I padded over and began to eat the rabbit. I longer sharing fresh kill with my apprentice. I finnished almost half and licked my jaws. I gave my chest a few licks.

i finished my half. "spottedpelt will you take my forginence in being such a bad warrior? I'm sorry just things haven't been right for me"

"How have things been bad for you?" I asked quietly. I gazed at him, trying to recall the old apprentice days.

"it's been hard for me to know that my mentor thinks i'm a traitor. It's hard I don't think you would understand. sadnees welling up inside him.

I sighed and stood up. "It's harder for me." I nodded and padded across the clearing, then slipped into the warrior's den.

i walked into the warriors den and spun around in my nest and slept

Slowly I fell asleep.

I woke up the next morning to the chirping of birds. I sat up and stretched, parking my jaws in a huge yawn. I shook the moss off my pelt and quickly groomed myself. I jumped out of the den and padded to the fresh kill pile. It was low, so i decided to send out a hunting patrol. after that was done I sat down to finnish grooming.

I walked out of the warriors den and arched my back in a huge strech and sat beside you. "do you want me to go on a hunting partol?"

"I've sent one out" I meowed drawing a paw over my ear.

"oh ok well do you want to talk?" i said coriusly.

"What makes you think I'd want to talk to you?" I said with pretty much no expression, just curiosity.

"well why wouldn't you? do you expt my appoligy spottedpelt, I'm sorry things haven't been working out I'm just soryy ok sorry" I run out the entrance in embarassment untill I hit three trees.

I quickly finnish grooming. Then the hunting patrol comes back in, and I'm suddenly not hungry. I try to go to sleep but even this sunny day isn't tempting enough. Leaving the camp I walk around but the cool shade and forest smells don't make me feel much better. I leap up on a rock and look to the blue sky. Finally, though i didn't want to admitt it, I tell myself to go find Hawkfrost and set things straight. I follow his scent and soon I'm walking up behind him. "Hawkfrost..." I freeze and don't know what to say. I walk up and sit close to him, pelts touching.

i was sitting on a rick with my head low "what" i said in a low shallow voice but not made more sad than angry

I rasp my tounge over his ear and hope that explains everything. I stare down at the ground too.

I look up "I'm sorry I'm not the perfect warrior you awnted me to be" i said in a understanding voice.

"No warrior is perfect" I meow gently "but you just have to make the right decisions.I can't let go of my clan, and our past." I purred looking deep into his eyes. "Hawkfrost was a blood thirsty menace." I spat "I just don't want to remember you with the same name. It's like calling yourself a rat, or dung, or Tigerstar!" I said burying my muzzle in his shoulder.

"why didn't you ever tell me this. Hawkfrost was tigerstar's son that's all I knew, I never knew it was that bad. Do I look like him?"

I didn't answer. I just listened to the sounds around us. After a while I purred. "Someday you'll have a mate, and kits, and a clan to care for. I just know you will." I whispered. "I never wanted to fight, and I guess it's Morningstar that needs to undertand. Legends - especially bad ones that struck fear right into the hearts of the toughest warriors - should not have such a wonderfull warrior named after them."

I purred and burried myself into your soft lush fur and calmed down at the sweet scent of your fur and my eyes were only slits I stayed like this for some hours time passed but i didn't even relize.

I fell asleep on your shoulder and when I woke the sun was already going down. I leaped off the rock and scented a vole. Quickly I tracked it. I stalked it and pounced, cracking it's neck. Then I found a thrush and killed it. I carried the fresh kill bakck to the rock and hoped on, settling the vole at your paws. I dug into the thrush and devoured it hungrily.

I ate my vole and swiped my tounge over my jaws. "spottedpelt, it's great to know these things from you and I hope to spend my life with you" I said not thinking about what I just said.

I licked my jaws and buried the remains of the thrush. "What do you mean?" I asked looking at him.

I paniced, I didn't know what to say you saw a worried look in my eyes, then I calmed my self down so that I could tell you the truth. "I love you". I said at last even though I thought it was the wrong thing to say but I had to tell you the truth no matter what.
